ABOUT REVOLUTION MINISTRIES

Founded in 2009 by Director Ashley Rodrick and her team, Revolution Ministries is a Christian organization based in Quito, Ecuador. We seek to serve with empathy, educating and empowering the children and families we work with to help them break through the cycle of poverty and have a better life.

We teach the truth of the Bible, and we provide practical help and solutions to people in need. We work with them to help them see that there is hope, and that God´s love for them is real because it lives in and through us.

We believe that the world is so far from knowing God that we first have to model His love for others before we will be able to lead them to Eternal Hope in Christ. That means we need to put our money where our mouth is and really give. We need to give of our time, resources, finances and strength. We need to let His love flow freely through us--that love that never passed by a person in need without offering help and hope, that love that sees through the dirt, grime and shame and sees a dearly loved child of the King, that love that would do anything, literally anything, to rescue us.

EMPATHIZE

Empathy is the foundation of the way we minister to others. The people we serve are not problems that need to be fixed, they are people just like us. Our ministry seeks to come alongside the person, get to know them, and help them become responsible for seeking solutions for their problems. We give them tools and teach them skills to overcome poverty in the long run, while also providing mercy ministry for immediate needs.

EDUCATE

From practical workshops on relevent themes like nutrition and hygiene to formal education for children and teens, Revolution Ministries is commited to using education as one of the greatest tools for combating poverty and those harmful habits that feed into poverty, like addiction and abuse.

EMPOWER

Our goal is not to create dependence upon our ministry, but rather to give those we serve the tools to make a better life for themselves. We aim to equip and support, hoping that eventually these people will outgrow these programs, lead healthy and fulfilling lives, and become a blessing to those around them, becoming tools for others in need. We hope to convey to them how valuable they are to us and to God, and help them dream again, and chase their dreams with determination.
